Reading |
 |
Reading is probably the most important academic
skill for any child.
Helping your child find a book: The
“Rule of Five”
Help your child pick out a book he
can enjoy at the appropriate reading level. Remember
the “Rule of Five.” Have your child read any page in
the book aloud to you. If he has trouble with five
or more words on one page, the book is probably a
little too hard. If he has no trouble, the book may
be too easy. A little easy reading is fine, too.
